IOT-Internet Of Things

IoT – Internet of Things

Nowadays the internet performs the crucial part of shaping this world and our life too. Every human’s needs are almost on the internet. People are widely connected with it because of faster accessibility of the things. The internet is providing the basic services which are needed for people every day in their routine life. The internet provides the services, i.e. Banking, Bill Paying Service, Online Store, Social Networking, Knowledge Sharing, Entertainment etc. To make the things easier we are trying to connect every single device with internet for data accessing. Now IoT (Internet of Things) is coming to make these things works. IoT is a network of devices which is used for data transfer and data collection without a help of a human.

How IoT change our world ?

IoT Stands for data transfer and data collection within different devices like vehicles, building, software’s, sensors, etc using IP addresses.

What is IoT ?

IoT is a network of combined things (devices) like sensor, network, software, hardware and electronics. It allows exchange and collects data. IoT extends internet connectivity with different devices which have embedded technology with different IP addresses to communicate and interact with the external environment. i.e. GPS, Cars, etc. IoT also works with wireless connectivity. I.e micro-electromechanical systems. Below the video is explaining what the exact meaning of IoT.

Important Factors of IoT :

  • Communication Interface
  • Software
  • Hardware

Software :

It’s a collection of programs which is used for collect, store, process and transfer the data. i.e eye scanner programs.

Hardware :

It’s the physical device which is designed for handle the request and respond the data. i.e eye scanner.

Communication Interface :

This will provide the environment for connecting the software and hardware. Here the needed services are installed.

Example of IoT :

There are thousands of example of Internet of Things, However we will go for Internet refrigerator.

Internet refrigerator :

Internet refrigerator is also known as a smart refrigerator. It has been programmed to sense what kinds of products are being stored inside it and keep a track of the stock. Barcode or RFID scanning is used for it. This kind of refrigerator is often equipped to determine itself whenever a food item needs to be replenished.

Future Of IoT :

There are more than 12 billion devices currently connected to the Internet. Every day the users are increased which are going to use the internet. In future, we can see the best devices on different sectors with the help of Internet of Things. The sectors are I.e tracking, identification, interaction, healthcare, transportation, environment monitoring, defense, manufacturing, etc.

In one of the famous surveys we found, up to 2020  26 billion devices will be part of Internet of Things.

Why is IoT Doomed?

“There are two sides of every coin”. One is positive and one is negative. Here we are going to discuss the negative things of IoT.

Major Factors :

Security : Whole new security system needed to protect different devices.
Customer Privacy : Potential of privacy breaches.
Data : Lots of data will be generated, both for enterprise and personal.
Server Technologies : More investment in servers will be necessary. Need to make servers more secure and fast.
Data Center Network : WAN links are optimized for human interface applications, IoT is expected to dramatically change patterns by transmitting data automatically.
Enterprises : Security issues could create safety risks.
Storage Management : Industry needs to figure out what to do with the data in a cost-effective manner.

  1. Hi, would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time choosing to go with BlogEngine.

  2. Let me know if you’re looking for a author for your weblog. You have some really good articles and I feel I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d absolutely love to write some articles for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please blast me an email if interested. Regards!

  3. Not all elements in an internet of things will necessarily run in a global space. Domotics running inside a smart home , for example, might only run and be available via a local network. The concern over the privacy was led many to consider the possibility that Big Data infrastructures such as the IoT and Data Mining are inherently incompatible with privacy.

  4. Hey there I am so glad I found your website, I really found
you by accident, while I was searching on Digg for something else, Regardless I am here now and would just like
to say thank you for a marvelous post and a all round thrilling blog (I also love the theme/design),
I dont have time to go through it all at the moment but I have
saved it and also included your RSS feeds, so when I
have time I will be back to read a great deal more, Please do keep up the excellent jo.
